Having experience in this field; not constraining ourselves to inland potential, VL Group have now explored the world market potential in energy generation and has identified / decided to develop renewable energy projects in the country of Laos which has high potential in renewable energy and is mainly involved in power exports to the neighbouring countries through its intra-country power transmission infrastructure and treaties.

VL has already taken necessary initiatives by posting our group personnel in position for Governmental liaisoning to execute the project of our choice. Successful on the initial stage, we have completed all necessary formalities and formed a company under our VL Group in the name and style of M/s VL Energy Laos Company Limited (VLELCL) at Loas that will primarily involve in developing energy projects in Laos.

Renewable power generation at Laos is backed up by the Govt of Laos by providing necessary land on lease basis, power evacuation through national and international grid etc. The power generated can be sold by us either to the Govt of Laos or to the neighbouring countries who share the power transmission network. The power purchase companies such as EPL, EGoT, VE etc that are available for our choice of secured power sale are in the grade of B to AA rating. The newly formed local entity at Loas will do the liaisioning with the concerned authorities and is in the verge of entering into agreement / MoU for setting of renewable energy power projects.

Whilst discussing about the prospects of business, we understand that we will be able to set up RE power projects in Laos upto a capacity of 2000MW. In this regard we are here to inform you that VL Group have started ascertaining the availability of site location/land for the project. In principle we have clutched from appropriate sources that the land parcel for the same is available and will be let known shortly to acquire on lease. Once we receive the details, VL Group shall enter into MoU with Government of Laos on undertaking the land lease, followed by power project agreement, power sale agreement etc.

In line to this, as a fact of success, VL Group has now successfully identified a project for quantum of 100 MW with all necessary initial approval from Govt of Laos, PPA and land allocations. This project is basically developed by another company who had intended to setup the solar project in Laos but now has shown interest to transfer the same to VL Group.

In order to shorten the timeline to initiate the project, we thoughtfully expressed our interest to take over / get transferred their project to our company name. Further the said project is located in the area of good topographical nature that is suitable for setting up a successful solar power plant. As this location is suitable for solar project and has many adjacent land parcels available for take-over by lease for setting up additional capacity upto 1000 MW in this location. Simultaneously, our team will continue to explore for the best possible option to identify and finalise another site for adding up the second 1000 MW thus aggregating to our planned total project capacity of 2000 MW.
